If you had infinite time, money, and resources, what would you do? Without all of those impossible infinities, why discard that dream? Teach For America looks for visionaries. People who make big goals and persevere until they meet them, inspiring transformational change in their students and communities. While I feel like those are very big shoes to fill, I’m certainly going to try.
This blog will be a place for me to keep track of my journey, working towards the vision of One Day, All Children as though I had the infinite amount of everything to give to these kids, who deserve the very best. I’ll try to post fairly regularly, both for my own reflection and so you, out there in the ether, may stay up-to-date on what I’m doing. I know I’m going to get busy and stressed, but please know I’d always love to hear from you, even if I’m not able to respond right away. If you want more information about any step of the process, feel free to reach out to me–especially if you’re considering applying.
I’m going to steal Katie’s favorite quote, because it seems applicable to my next two years and beyond (and Katie is generally a source of major inspiration in my life anyway): “To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.” -Tennyson
